WEEKEND WARDROBE

FRIDAY

HIS

At a Las Vegas boutique about a year ago, we found sparkly black-on-black damask print pants that we thought would be perfect for the Rehearsal Dinner. Paired with a silk white-on-white damask print button up and iridescent hologram loafers, the look would be complete! But then, as we were shopping for something else, we came across the solarized flower cigarette pant by Alexander McQueen and everything changed! Paired with a white and cream, subtly sparkly, damask polo and a textured white sport jacket – the McQueen pant outfit was the winning option. White Italian loafers finished the look.

HERS

Like Brandon, I initially had a different outfit for the Rehearsal Dinner that would’ve matched his first outfit. An amazing pair of hexagon-heeled platforms by Balmain and complimenting Deepa Gurnani earrings were the best part! Instead, I found the lace dress I envisioned all along and paired it with leopard-print Louboutin satin pumps and Ben-Amun drop earrings.

Groom

Since we wanted a romantic black-tie aesthetic, we chose a vintage style white and black tuxedo. The suit was custom made in Italian fabrics with a secret embroidered note on the inside jacket. To continue the regal vibe, Brandon chose the embroidered Dolce & Gabanna tuxedo slipper as his shoe. He wore his grandfathers cufflinks and a velvet bowtie to match.

Middle bottom half: Brandon, Luke and their father, JJ, at the reception. Top Right: Brandon and mother, Kris, walking down the aisle for the ceremony. Bottom Left: Brandon and Chacha celebrating the grand exit. Bottom Middle: Brandon with his two best friends, Stuart (also the Bestman) and Eric (also the Officiant). Bottom Right: Brandon, Luke, and their sister, Maggie, just before the ceremony started.

The Second Dress

The most important thing about the second dress was that it could fit in our getaway car – Brandon’s teeny tiny 1980 Corvette! I wanted to still be bridal but not so formal or regal. It needed to be comfortable enough to dance in and breathable enough to last the rest of the night. For all of these reasons, I chose the Mac Duggal Ruffle Tiered Cut-Out Chiffon Gown and paired it with Michael Kors white braided strap sandals, pink crystal earrings & an Our Lady of Guadelupe diamond necklace .
